Kimberley Vowles- Principle of KV Academy of Dance
Kimberley Vowles, a dedicated dancer, choreographer, and teacher, embarked on her dance journey from a young age, culminating in her graduation from Performers College in 2006 with a Diploma in Dance Theatre. Having received three years of professional dance training as a scholarship student, she quickly immersed herself in the entertainment industry, touring extensively both in the UK and abroad in professional dance productions and shows.
With a profound passion for teaching, Kimberley obtained qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) in Modern and Tap Dance in 2006. Throughout her career, she has nurtured countless students, guiding them to excel in ISTD and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations, with many achieving outstanding results. Some of her students have advanced to the 'All England Dance Finals' and secured roles in local professional pantomimes. Additionally, many of her students have earned places at prestigious performing arts colleges.
Kimberley's teaching philosophy centers on creating enjoyable, inspiring, and engaging classes for children, infusing each session with her infectious love for dance and theatre. Under Kimberley's instruction, KVAD offers a diverse range of classes within educational settings, including RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern, ISTD Tap, Musical Production, Street Dance, and Theatre Arts. Her students consistently perform to a high standard, achieving a 100% pass rate in both ISTD Modern and RAD Ballet examinations. Beyond examinations, her students eagerly anticipate various performances throughout the year, with the annual dance shows serving as a highlight, showcasing their talents across a multitude of styles and reflecting their passion for dance.
Kimberley has fostered a fantastic team of highly qualified teachers who share her dedication and passion for dance education. Together, they provide a supportive and nurturing environment for all students, ensuring that each child receives the highest quality of training and encouragement.
Kimberley now successfully runs her dance provision at several independent schools, ensuring the highest quality of classes and training for dance students within the school setup.
